Claire's Story
Well, anybody that knew me back in highschool knew I was painfully shy. It was really hard for me to make friends. Thankfully I did make three good friends that I continue to remain in contact with. Though we may have scattered, we still keep in touch with phones, christmas cards, photos and emails. Thank God for the internet.
I always wanted to be a flight attendant or Vetinarian when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
My favorite way to relax is to watch a good old movie or rock out with my favorite cd's.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have my coffee, bagel, and cell phone to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My hero is my husband. He is severly hearing impaired in one ear and completely deaf in the other. He is a good lip reader and has managed to live a perfectly normal life. He is currently employed at a law firm here in New Orleans for nearly 20 years.
My family and I moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1981. I loved living there. In 2002, I bought my condo in Pompano Beach, Florida (a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale...Expand for more
). I still have my condo there. I moved to Metairie, LA (a suburb of New Orleans) in February of 2004. After we got engaged in July of 2003, my husband wsw going to move to Florida, but was subsequently given a promotion. He had been waiting for a couple of years for this promotion. I,in good conscience, could not ask him to give that up. So, since my employer was going through some major administrative changes and a move, I decided to be the one to make the relocation. We were married April 2004. So, here I am five years later.
I love to watch Survivor and Hells Kitchen. I have several pets. Two dogs ( a dacshund and a maltipoo), two hamsters, two parakeets and four goldfish. We do love our animals.
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to friends and family, then spend the rest on travel , bigger home and pay off all my bills.
My current age is 52. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be grandparents or possibly retired. I was so completely off base.
My best friend would tell you I'm funny and smart, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as nerdy.
