Clark's Story

Life Clark S. Davis, FAIA Clark Davis is Vice Chairman of HOK Group, Inc. and Chief Administrative Officer of HOK’s North Central Region, managing offices in St. Louis and Chicago. He is a member of HOK’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee. As an HOK principal, Mr. Davis has led major projects for the Boeing Company, Eli Lilly and Company, the Federal Reserve, Hoffmann-LaRoche, Inc., Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, Washington University School of Medicine, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Mr. Davis holds professional degrees from the University of Kansas and University of Michigan and is a licensed architect in several states. He is a past president of AIA Missouri and AIA St. Louis, the regional components of the American Institute of Architects. He was elected to the AIA College of Fellows in 2000. He received the Distinguished Alumnus award from the University of Kansas School of Architecture and Urban Design in 2001 and received the AIA Missouri Distinguished Service Award in March 2002. bitration Association. He is currently a member of the UM-St. Louis Leadership Institute Advisory Board. A native St. Louisan, Mr. Davis has always been interested and active in community affairs. He is a director of the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association (RCGA), a director and executive committee member of the Regional Business Council, and a trustee of the Saint Louis Art Museum and the Whitaker Foundation. He is also a director of the Municipal Theatre Association, the Downtown St. Louis Partnership, Edgewood Children’s Center, and the St. Louis Foundation for Architecture. Mr. Davis and his family are active members of Grace Episcopal Church, where he has been Junior Warden and a member of the Vestry. He co-chaired the Capital Campaign Committee and Building Committee for a recent expansion program at Grace Church. Earlier, he was Moderator, chair of the Board of Trustees, and Endowment Fund Committee chair as a member of Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ in St. Louis. Mr. Davis was a participant in the 1989-90 Leadership St. Louis Program. He has served Confluence St. Louis and FOCUS St. Louis as a member of Low Income Housing, Planning and Evaluation, and Community Impact committees. Mr. Davis and his wife, Jean Cornelius Davis, live in Glendale with their children Andrew, Ginger, and Ted.
