Life Helen Denny and I married in 1974. We have one son Paul born in 1985. We live in Knoxville Tennessee with 3 dogs and 1 cat. After I droppped out of college I joined the Navy as a nuclear reactor operator and served in Vietnam (USS Truxton) and the submarine service (USS Tunny SSN 682. After the Navy I went to work for Bechtel Power Corp. in San Francisco as a startup engineer. I've been in engineering ever since. Helen and I have lived in California, Texas, 3 places, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, New York, Pennsylvania, 3 places, and Oklahoma and now Tennessee. In June 2008, I retired from the South Texas Project. I took a job with Bechtel Power Corp at the Watts Bar Unit 2 project. I work in control systems doing plant licensing and contract management. Before I retired from the South Texas Project Nuclear Power Plant, I worked as a system engineer in the Electrical and Auxilaries Section. I was responsible for batteries, dc systems, large power transformers, and diesel generators.
