Clark's Story
Life
It was the best of times, but it was never enough time. I just wish I had used it more wisely, and realized just how much fun I could have had. I have been trying lately to convince my sons that what they do right now in High School will affect the rest of their lives. It did for me. I met some people in High School who I'll never forget, even though I haven't seen them in 30 years. If I'd have worked harder I might have had a better life. But then I probably wouldn't have met my wife, nor had my 3 kids, at least not the same kids, and who knows how my life would have turned out?
I will still keep trying to convince them, though I wouldn't change a thing in my own life, as I am very happy with the way it is turning out. That is probably due mostly to my wife. ought a house in Oxnard, which I still have, but in 1993 we left there to move to an island in the Puget Sound in Washington State to give our kids(3) a more rural upbringing. We live on the end of a dead-end gravel road in the middle of an island, and have lots of land for the kids to play on, and room for the horses. They are now too big for play though. My daughter is 27 and moved back to Ventura County. My boys are now 21 and 22 and going to college. I still work for the phone company, sort of, as a consultant, and the wife works for them contracting.
I also moved up here because it is a boater's paradise.
Let's see, I boat, I drink beer(what boater doesn't), I cuss (what boater doesn't) I fish, therefore I lie, I ride my horses, and all of the above I do a lot less frequently than I would like. Work never ceases.
