Claude's Story
I attended Hudloff Jr. high to the 9th grade. Then from 10th, 11th and 12th grades to graduation in 1964 I was a student at Clover Park High School. I played football, wrestled, and ran track. I went to Olympic Jr. College in Bremerton and transferred to EWU, which was called Eastern Washington State College back then. I graduated with a BA in physical Education and minors in Art and psychology in 1970. At Eastern I met my future wife and mother of my two sons Cydne C. Funk. We have been married for 37 years. After college I worked for the State of Washington as a Bridge tender in Anacortes, Drivers license examiner in Seattle ( hours of...Expand for more
boredom punctuated by one moment of stark terror), a Recreation Asst. II in Shelton at the prison, a Correctional Officer in Shelton at the prison , a Parole Officer in Burien for the state DOC, and a Correctional Sergeant in Shelton at the prison where I am currently employed. Cydne and I have traveled to Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Greece, together and she has traveled to China by herself. This past summer we went to Canada for a 6 day kayak Trip off the eastern side of Vancouver island. We are thinking about a 9 day kayak trip this coming summer in Fiji. I look forward to seeing everyone from the 1964 class at the
