Claude's Story
Gosh it's been so long. I left Salem in 1970 moving to Nashua,NH. Got married in 1972, practically right after high school. Went to College in NH and started working for that small company Digital Equipment Corporation. I worked in manufacturing for 8 years, after which I accepted a Field position as a Customer Service in the Washington Capitol Business District. After 12 years as a Field Engineer, I took on the position as an Environmental Field Engineer for both DEC and Compaq maintaining high powered power systems that provided emergency power to data centers, and helped with the development of environmental products and procedures as well.I worked in the field for 17 years. During my career I lived in Fort Washington, MD and Annapolis Maryland, and have had the great adventure of visiting many wonderful sites and areas during my tenor with these companies.I have one daughter who resides in Maryland.

I lost my father to cancer in 2011, he is missed daily.
I write poetry and short stories as a hobby, as well as partake in a variety of outdoor activities such as camping and hiking, fishing, and photography.
I've hiked well over 800 miles of the Appalachian Trail from Georgia up through parts of Pennsylvania, and have even hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. My other hobbies are cooking, gardening & woodworking.
I work full time as a local truck driver for JB Hunt out of Windsor Locks, CT, and have applied for a transfer to Pompano Beach in Florida as a Building Specialist.
I also attended a technical college in Maryland learning home construction, masonry, roofing structure & design.
It's funny you know, as a teen studying wasn't something I enjoyed, however as time began to float by learning new techniques and designs became fun. I thoroughly enjoyed my med classes scoring a 3.6 GPA and I continue to strive to better myself.
It would be awesome to meet the Class of 1971 again
