Claudia's Story
I live in the Finger Lakes region of NYS and have been here for the past 29 (Yikes!) years. I have 3 wonderful children. The youngest is finishing his BS in Enviornmental Sciences. The middle guy is a musician who is a manager at a Guitar Center and plays music nights and weekends. He is married and looking to move to Texas where his bride will be teaching at a university. My oldest is married, has 1 child (a granddaughter!!) and is working and finishing her accounting degree. She already has a BA in Music and an MA in Music Theory. As you can tell, I'm very proud of my kids.
My husband of 36 years is an engineer working at Corning, Inc. He is an avid outdoors enthusiast; running, biking, skiing. In the summer we have a sailboat on one of the Finger Lakes at a cottage.
We are learning what life is going to be like without our 3 kids in the hou...Expand for more
se (have already had 3 real years of no one at home). It is scary and exciting at the same time.
I enjoy knitting, sewing, spinning (wheel) and we also have 2 looms, which have been used to make baby blankets. I am not yet good enough in spinning yarn to use it in the loom, or to knit with, but maybe someday.
Today I am taking a day off from work, to get away from the stress of dealing with my patient's life problems and enjoy some time for myself.
I have been blessed with wonderful children, a strong and loving husband, good health and my dad is healthy and continues to live in Merrillville. I can't really complain.
For those of you who know my brother, Wally, he lives in the Chicago land area, has a daughter who will graduate next year from high school, and continues to work for an organization that works with drug and alcohol troubled youth.
