There's been a request for "my story" so here goes....After leaving school, I went to Beauty School and working in Balboa for a few years...Married John Nikola in 1972. Had my first daughter in 1973 and my second in 1976. John and my dad had the great idea to buy an alfalfa ranch in Oregon...so we did. We moved to this tiny dot on the map in the summer of 1976, and I was a stay-at-home mom. I then went to work at the local school as an educational assistant and did that for 11 years. Oh yea,,,the whole ranch thing didn'w work out and John has been travelling the world as a Marine Diesel Engineer for most of our marriage (38 yrs)! We bought a house on 11.5 acres and I settled in to raise the girls...It was a great 11 years as I worked when the girls were in school and was off when they were...My brother married John's sister, and my folks and John's dad all settled in the area, so we had a very tight family!! Did I mention that our school is K-12?? Anyway, when the girls graduated, I decided to quit and go to college!!! Imagine that..45 and finally going to college!!
