Claudine's Story
For 33 years, I worked in state government for the Department of Insurance, Division of Workers' Compensation, formerly the Industrial Accident Board and Texas Workers' Compensation Commission. For 15 years I served as the office manager for the local office in Lubbock. However, in my last 8 years, my title was Benefit Review Officer which entailed presiding as a mediator conducting informal dispute conferences. I retired in June 2007, and am enjoying every minute. ow. I enjoy eating out and visiting with friends and of course, family.
I had two sons from my marriage to Danny Edwards, Chris and Phil. My precious son, Chris, passed away suddenly 4 years ago, which was such a traumatic event in my life. He left me two beautiful grandchildren, of which one now attends Texas Tech. My older son, Phil, lives in San Antonio, and gave me a beautiful grandaughter who is now 6 years old. I have beautiful and smart grandchildren, of course.
I hope all of my fellow classmates are enjoying their 60's to the fullest and are doing well.
