Clayton's Story
Greetings fellow distinguished classmates of 1968. This is Dr. Clayton Alford of New York City and Long Island, New York. I am a University Professor in the New York Metropolitan area and I teach Psychology and Education courses to Graduate and Undergraduate students. I train educators on Best Educational Practice to use when working with students with special needs. The work is challenging and intellectually stimulating. My professional affiliations include membership with the American Psychological Association and the Council on Exceptional Children. I enjoy the many cultural events in and around New York City, such as attending the Opera, Ballet, Theater, and Museums. I am a patron of the New York Metropolitan Opera and The American Ballet and a Patron of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I also enjoy attending sporting events, the New York Knicks basketball, New York Mets baseball and New York Yankees baseball teams. I find pleasure in traveling and photography, thus far, I have traveled to 75 different countries worldwide. For the December Holiday ...Expand for more
(2012) I traveled to Dubai, Hong Kong, San Francisco and back to New York for my fifth around the world trip. I have new worlds to conquer and would like to visit the South Pole (Antarctica) be like my travel guru Michael Palin and say I have been "Pole to Pole." Professionally, I am active with my University advising students and working collaboratively with colleagues on research projects. Dr. Alford remains committed to social and humanitarian causes worldwide. I am busy this year writing a book and collaborating with other researchers on challenging research. Classmates, please feel free to drop me a line and touch base with me to let me know how you are doing. Dr. Alford will work with colleagues at Warnborough College in Canterbury, England during the summer of 2016. I extend good wishes to each and everyone of you and be well. And in those immortal words spoken so elegantly by the poet Robert Frost: "I took the "road" less traveled by and that has made all the difference."
Cordially,
Dr. Clayton Alford
