Cliff's Story
My family moved into Sunnyvale in early 1956. Back then the school system was changing very fast. I went to seven different schools as they kept building more and more of them. Lived in two different areas of Sunnyvale, Cherry Chase & over on West Iowa. Met alot of people and had alot of friends all over Sunnyvale. I really wish I could here from some of them just to see how they are doing.
Sunnyvale was a great place to be raised in. Watching it grow from 18,000 people to over 100,000 wasn't good. All the trees, farms & strawberry patches were gone. They were replaced by concrete & buildings. Remember splitting apricot for extra money? Some of the things I miss are cruising First St. in San Jose in the "60", going to the movies at the downtown theater and Santa Cruz in the summer. ...Expand for more
Remember the music? Getting together with friends and listening to 45's. All the dances we had, at school at the roller rink, RECORD HOP. And the Battle of the Bands contest they had. All that stuff was good clean fun.
I was married at 20 and have three son's. The kids lasted, the marrage's didn't. Married twice, 17 yrs. & five yrs. I am retired and have been single for the last 18 years.
Moved from Sunnyvale to San Jose in 1968, then in 1983 I moved up to the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho area.
I worked for Hewlett Packard for 12 years. In 1980, I started my own machine shop. Then in 83, located everything up here. I have turned the business over to my two oldest boys and I am just trying to enjoy my life the best I can. It would be great to locate friends & classmates..
