Life This could be a story entitled "Local High School drop out makes good". At 17, I joined the Navy and picked up my GED. I soon learned that if I wanted to get anywhere in life, an education was critical. The Navy offered and I took advantage of an opportunity to learn through a combination of on the job training and formal classroom education over a period of twenty years. During my naval career, I attended schools and received specialized training in the medical field and became a Hospital Corpsman. Later in my career, I attended Independent Duty Medical Training where I gradauated as a Physician Assistant. Along the way, training also included formal training in Field and Combat Medical, and was ultimately assignment to several different Marine Corps combat units during my career.
