Clifford's Story
Life
After being graduated from dear old MHS, I worked in retail for a couple of years, served in the Air Force, went back to retail for several more years, winding up as assistant buyer in the boy's department at Rich's in Atlanta. I was in an automobile accident, suffered a broken neck, and decided that I would change nursing after the treatment I received in the ER at a local Cobb County hospital by the nursing staff there. (the broken neck was a cracked vertebra, treated on an outpatient basis -- it's just that "broken neck" sounds much more dramatic) Anyway, I became a Registered Nurse after school at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, worked in labor and delivery, coronary and medical intensive care, and did private duty for an elderly person for about twelve years. After that, I eased back into "active" nursing working at a hospice for AIDS patients (again in Atlanta), and then I worked in the field of home infusion (intravenous therapy for various conditions including cancer, autoimmune conditions, and infections, mainly) for about thirteen years. I'm now...Expand for more
retired (earlier than I planned, but I'm enjoying it immensely - sometimes I wonder where I found the time for working at a job).
I was raised in the church (Baptist), lived most of my adult life away from it, and have now come full circle - I'll say that the most important thing in my life now is my relationship with God, through his Son, Jesus Christ, through Whom eternal salvation is received, and Him alone. I tried to stay away from this subject, but since it's the most important thing in my life, I had to bring it up. I'd welcome the opportunity to discuss it with you, and I'd be glad to hear from you, if only for reminiscing, or just to say Hi!, if you happen to remember me from the past. I tried to put my email address here, but we're not allowed to do that; you'll have to be a Gold member (now called having an All-Access Pass) to get the information, but I can be found on Facebook.
I hope life has been good to you all...and please know that your eternity can be even better; if this gives you cause to ponder, contact me and we'll talk. God bless you!
