Clifford's Story
Life
Attended Western Kentucky University for 4 years, went into the Transit Industry as a driver. Worked almost every position involving transportation of passengers and ended up making schedules. Been around buses and mass transit for 34 years now. Yep, I love it!
I met my wife of 33 years on a blind date to the Derby in 1969. We have four kids. As I write this, the oldest is 30, the next is 28 and married, the next is a grad student at University of Louisville in the Speed Engineering School and the baby is 24.

spite of Mr. Archer's French class in '66, I know just enough of that language to keep out of trouble and to communicate (with some difficulty) with non-English speaking family!
I can't remember how many times teachers took "schedules" off of my desk as I doodled away the boring hours at classes, but now I make a pretty good living doing just that in an industry where there are few qualified to design and build operating schedules. Sure, its a geek career, using highly specialized software to do what I used to draw on graph paper, but its what I enjoy.
I only hope that most of you get to do something you really enjoy as a career, no matter what it is!
