Well, after high school I bought a Greyhound ticket and headed out east to Hamilton. I finished baseball in Calgary and here is just where I happened to find a team. I signed with the Hamilton Cardinals of the Inter-County League in 1999. I had a less than productive season on the mound and headed down to play in a lesser league. Hamilton. Succeed or fail, at least I can say I gave it a shot. And I can also say that, although it wasn't much nor for very long, I got paid to play a game. I am looking forward to coming home after four years away. Hamilton was my home for a time but Calgary is and always will be, where my heart is. I've certainly done some smartening up being 3500 kms from home on my own but I'm still pretty much the same old Clif. I've just gotten over that whole 'shy' thing is all and I'm not such a jerk anymore.
