Clyde's Story
Life
Graduated THS 1978
Attended Mackay School of Mines at the University of Nevada-Reno and graduated with a B.S. in Mining Eng. 1985
Started my mining career in South Africa between 1986 and 1990
Worked on the deep level gold mines in SA as well as other mines around S.A.
Returned to the states and worked several projects in many different states
I started commercial fishing in 2003 after being severed form Barrick Gold Co.
I love the fishing business and the outdoors. Good people - little politics!
Mental and physical stress exists but at least I stress for me.
I work the season in AK. and buy and sell mining equipment...Expand for more
in Az. during the winter. Winters in Alaska are rough. Miserable weather and not alot of fish.
I never married due to my vegabond lifestyle. Perhaps that's why I'm semi retired. I like dogs, open spaces, hunting, camping, fishing, being warm, and girls.
When I'm not consumed with those activities, I like to work with wood, tinker with anything mechanical, drink good wines, visit with friends, and travel to places with white sandy beaches. I gave up motorcycles, but I'm thinking about getting back in after 20 years. Hope this didn't bore you. And perhaps someone will read this and want to get back in touch after a lot of years.
