Okay, I will give a kind of summary. After graduation, my family and I moved to Canada as resident aliens with "right to work" papers. My dad did not want me in the military. That didn't last long. After just a few weeks he realized he could not physically get around in all that snow, so we moved back to the States. I wound up getting drafted for the Viet Nam war anyway, and I joined the Air Force in December 1972. I stayed in the Air Force for 4 years active duty, and got married to Connie from Clovis, NM while I was still on duty. We moved back to Arkansas in December 1976 when I was released from active duty and went on inactive reserve . (Got my honorable discharge 2 years later, that's how it worked at the time.) We had our firstborn, Joshua in 1978 and moved shortly thereafter to Oregon. We had decided to try for a better life there. Our second son, Brian was born in Oregon, but we only lived there for about 6 years. The company I worked for transferred us to Salt Lake City. We stayed there for about 1-1/2 years and I was recruited to manage a mortgage loan company in San Jose, California. That job only lasted about 6 months. Promises weren't kept and about year later we moved back to Arkansas. My dad had come down with cancer and we came back to help out.
