Coleen's Story
I was terribly insecure in high school, just passing through too many schools and ended up in BP for a couple of years, never popular, as I felt I saw things and felt things deeper than kids my age then. I am sure no one there remembers me. I was too tall and far too skinny and different. Certainly not accepted easily by other kids. especially from being new in a school. So only the so called misfits or tough kids were open to new strange kids like me. So I got tough and hard in those years there. I rebelled to survive,honestly that is true. Yet as an adult I achieved far more than most in life. I recognized that life is what we make it.

as curious about those who came from a place called Baldwin Park, and what they did with their lives. So that is why I am here. My husband is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. We have raised five wonderful children. We have adopted four children eight years ago, who are now 16, two 14 year olds and a twelve year old. We also have six grand children. Three of our children are teachers. So for what it matters here I am, and looking back is what some of us do to see where we came from when we reach our 60's and thanking God that what we were in our teens does not really matter. The reality is, that those years are not be taken too serious.
