Coleene's Story

Hello Chino High...this is Tim's mom, Coleene. If you knew our son, you knew him as the little guy with the big mouth. (I say that in love). He never met a stranger and loved to be the center of attention. Many of you also know that Timmy suffered from a kidney disease called FSGS. As he grew older, he suffered many complications. When he was 20, Tim had a pulmonary embollism (blood clot in his lung). He underwent 9 hours of emergency surgery to attempt to remove it, but much damage was done to his lung. This increased much pressure on his breathing and his heart. He was always feeling pain and much anxiety that went with that pain. In Nov. of 2003, we lost our house on Verdugo from a fire. Many problems and Timmy's failing health led to the decision to sell the house. We are still here in Chino. Tim was hospitilized many times and his health continued to waver. In Feb. 2007, Tim was hospitilized again with pneumonia. He struggled to breathe and his kidneys began to fail. My last conversation with him was actually a song he sang to me: "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now I am found, was blind but now I see." He passed away on Feb. 27th, 2007 at the age of 26. Timmy loved all things sports, playing Texas hold um', Kelly's, music, ESPN, his friends, his dog "Chance", Chino football, Del Taco Chili Cheese Fries, but mostly Timmy loved to be playing 18 at Prado. Timmy became quite a good golfer despite his pain. This is where he found his sanctuary. ing Grace for you as well. When the darkness closes in Lord, still I will say, Blessed Be Your Name. You give and take away, my heart will choose to say...Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
