Colette's Story
I retired last December after many years as a social worker. I am married with two grown children. My husband and I are very involved with the Shriner's organization and work benefits for the hospital. The things I most like to do is artwork, crafts, reading and traveling. Mexico is my favorite place because I enjoy learning about Mayan and Aztec civilizations. My next trip, I hope, is to Peru.

Rosie, our cat for 13 years, passed away last fall and we are now without pets. I love baseball and soccer. I love art and visit art shows regularly. I love visiting art and history museums. I love to cook mexican and Indian food.

nto social work. I started when I was in the military volunteering for different social events, then worked at a local community center. After completing my AA degree, we moved to St. Louis where I attended Washington University for a year, then I earned my Bachelors degree in social work form UMSL, went to work and then earned my Masters degree from St. Louis University, all the while raising a family. After being retired for 7 months, I am more than ready to return to work, and am interviewing, yet again, for a social work job.
I became a grandmother for the first time in April, a beautiful little boy! We waited along time for him, and he is so sweet and has a nice temperament!
Recently I found my yearbook, and it was good to see my old classmates. Some I remember very clearly!
