Colin Adams:  

I received my Ph.D. in mathematics in 1983, from the University of Wisconsin. I teach at Williams College, having first taught two years at Oregon State University, and having spent sabbaticals at UC-Santa Barbara, UC-Davis and UC-Berkeley. I have two children, Alexa, age 29, now in Seattle, and Colton, age 24, now in southern CA. My wife passed away almost 20 years ago, so I raised them on my own. I have written or co-written eleven books, 75 research articles and 130 expository articles. The research has been supported by the National Science Foundation.
