Colleen's Story

After graduation I stay in KCMO for approximately 3 years. I had another child after graduation and I was in a dead end relationship. God delivered me from that relationship and I truly thank God for that. I relocated to West Virginia and worked as a school recruiter for a Refrigeration Training School for a few years. I traveled the entire state of WVA recruiting students for the school. It was an interesting job but I lived out of a suit case. I then gained employment with Union Carbide in WVA but was transferred to Cleveland,Ohio. I met my husband and we have been married for 36 years. My husband is a professional truck driver. uburb of Cleveland. I worked in a mental health agency with a strong focus on chemical dependency. I later received the calling from the Lord for ministry. I was ordained as a Ordained Elder and went back to school and obtain a Master Degree in Divinity. We relocated to Columbus, Ohio and now I pastor a church in Columbus, Ohio. Higher Ground Family Worship Center. I am the founder and senior pastor and has been since 12-2-31-2005. It has been interesting. I am believing God every step of the way. TO GOD BE THE GLORY I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. Chilling in front of the television The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Dorothy Watkins, because we were good friends. I have learned to be determined from my daugthers. They are both enterprenuers and ministers of Christ. I am proud of them. They are very blessed and doing very well. If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to the church, then spend the rest on investments, family and me..
