Collette's Story
Just published! Collecting Wonder Where We Will, a book of poetry available on Amazon. "Classmates" won't allow me to post the web address, but it's easy on Amazon. I also have an Instagram page devoted to my poetry: insert the symbol for "at" then, without spaces, type "collettesdesk." I'd love to see your comments there.
I've had four careers: currently a poet, previously a psychotherapist, organizational development consultant, director of an event production company, and a full life of service, which is what I care about most after my family - women's health, LGBT rights, schools for girls in Pakistan, water supplies in Africa, women's right to choose, civil liberties, and so...Expand for more
cial justice. I've worked either to fundraise or develop policy in all these areas.
My husband, Don Kline, and I are celebrating 44 years together. Our son, Bennett, is 41 years old, married to the marvelous Diana LaPenna Sell-Kline, living a 1/2 day's drive away in Claremont, CA.
At home in Mill Valley (just north of San Francisco), the garden is in bloom, the sea is nearby, and I am happy to be here after 30 years of struggling with two serious autoimmune disorders - SLE (Lupus) and MMP (Mucous Membrane Pemphigoid). Happily, both are under control now.
My health challenges have allowed me to develop an a quiet inner life of gratitude. That is where I spend most of my time.
