Connie's Story
Life
After leaving West Seattle, attended Washington State for year and a half before I quit to try summer school in Hawaii (1960). Experience was so great, I decided to continue traveling by way of a career. Joined United Air Lines the following year as Stewardess and flew for two and a half years until I had to quit when I got married. (Rules are a lot different now.)
We had two great sons and lived in Edmonds area until my husband took the principal's job at Timerline High School in Lacey (Olympia)in 1976. I am now single after being married for 18 years.
I have been happily working as a residential real estate agent for Windermere Real Estate in Olympia, WA. for past 29 years. Brought my youngest son, John (39), into business with me this year, so I can pass on the business to him when...Expand for more
I do decide to slow down and retire.
My oldest son, Mike (40), is married with two small children in Kenmore, so am finally a grandmother. Try to get up there once a week so we can stay connected and I can watch those children grow.
I have become a lazy traveler - just return to the Big Island of Hawaii every year to soak up some sun before our winter sets in.
I still love plays, concerts, and am serviing on the Board of Directors for the Olympia Symphony, so get to hear some great music at their performances. Even decided to try a season of the Seattle Opera this year. (I still have not decided if I will repeat that next year.)
All in all, life has been very good. No complaints.
For anyone coming across this bio - hope life has been good for you too. See you at our 50th!
