Connie's Story
Life
I live in Wake Forest, NC, where I am very active in DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). I serve as Registrar of my chapter and am also in my third three-year term as Vice Chairman of Membership for the State of North Carolina. I also do community service work with the Wake Forest Woman's Club.

nia, about a four hour drive from us. My husband and I have been married for almost 50 years. I met him during my senior year at UCLA where I graduated in the class of 1961. He was born and raised in South Africa, and we lived in Johannesburg the first two years we were married. That was an experience that truly made me appreciate America, which I had taken for granted before.
