Connie's Story
I always wanted to be a actress when I grew up.
My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were right, but I love what I do anyway!
Connie Lamothe is an award winning filmmaker, director, producer, screenwriter, and actress. Her career began over 25 years ago in modeling and acting. She was a semi-finalist in the Mrs. Virginia Pageant and has judged many modeling and talent events. As a professional stage actress, she played the lead in the well loved comedy, ¿Joey and Maria¿s Italian Wedding¿ from 1999 to 2006. She was honored when she was asked to Direct the show after 3 years of the Washington Metropolitan area tour. During that time, Connie was also gaining film experience in films such as ¿Contact¿, ¿Something the Lord Made¿ and ¿The Invasion¿. She picked up leading roles in independent films such as ¿The Last Mango¿ and in 2005 wrote her first screenplay, ¿The Driver¿ which is currently set to shoot in 2011. Sh...Expand for more
e produced and directed ¿Rosie¿s Miracle¿, which won ¿Best Family Short¿ in 2009 at the New York Independent International Film Festival and ¿Best Director¿ in 2010 at the World Music and International Film Festival in Washington, DC. Additionally, she completed her second short, ¿Reunion¿ which premiered in Northern Virginia last November 2010. Since then, she continues to pick up acting roles in films from VA to NY. Ms. Lamothe has her own company, CCL Productions and Talent,, serves on the Roman Pictures and Entertainments Production Group and is working continually as an actress. She was the Artistic Director of Growing Stage Theatre for five years up until 2010 and produced over 16 musical productions with casts of children ages 4 to 18. She also is a member of the National Association of Professional Women! Connie particularly enjoys working with children and mentoring to new young talent in the industry as well as inspiring others through her films!
