Connie's Story
To help you refresh your memories, I was involved in dancing and performing (actually, overacting) in musicals and the such. I also danced with the choir when we sang "Aquarius/Let the Sun Shine." I lived with Kim Hickcox (who is a minister now, by the way!) and moved out to San Francisco after high school.
I currently live in a small, ruralcommunity full of Amish and cows, which has been a great cultural shock but a fabulous place to raise two sons. I am still married to the same guy I married when I was 25. Alan is a self-employed taxidermist. My husband learned two things about me when he brought me to his area when we married... never deny me travel and education, which he supported and encouraged. Consequently, I have traveled to virtually all fifty states (including Alaska, which I adore!), Ireland (twice), Canada, the Republic of Macedonia (formerly Yugoslavia), and Amsterdam.

luded a Bachelor of Science degree in teaching English (UW-SP). I taught 11th and 12th graders in Stratford, WI, and matriculated two English courses for the local technical college. Next came a Masters in the Science of teaching English (UW-SP). The big kahuna -- a Ph.D. in Education and Leadership through Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. I have chosen to remain a high school teacher versus moving to the university system, simply because I truly enjoy working with teenagers.
On a final note, I continue to support the arts as the world would be terribly dull if we had no place to rest our minds. Do I still dance? Every chance I get. And, folks, I still have the bod and the moves! Yeah. Right. After two sons and then a full liver transplant last year (Genetics!), I'm still working on slimming the scar area down. I tell the little kids at the beach that the 15" scar is where the shark bit me!
