Connie Sue's Story

Life ... Studied Elementary Ed at Harding University a little while where I learned how to play soccer and we started the first Women's Soccer Team in Searcy Arkansas - it evolved into the Soccer Team for Harding later. I stepped out of school a while to re-evaluate my study plan and changed to Biology and Pre-Med studies while I went back down to Texas to spend more time with family. Worked as a Lab Technician while I studied. Met my first husband and went into computers and the business world while he continued studies in Pre-Med. As our family grew, my PC business took off and I learned a little more about databases - 20 years of it and I still feel like I don't know enough about them. The business was sold in the midst of a divorce.. common story, I know although the divorce wasn't - many of the stories probably hit the headlines and left my life and friendships in shambles... as divorces tend to do. Time warp ... Today, married again to a good man this time. He is a network engineer. Just came out of a 7 year job with DLink. Looking at a job currently with NASA. We just celebrated our 'late honeymoon' in the Western Carribean this past October cruising to Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Cancun. As a Mom of 3, daytime I work as a Database Analyst and IT Business Systems Analyst. Kids that keep me busy and loving life : Chris 18, Tiffany 14 and Cassie is 5. We live...Expand for more
in Katy, TX and go to church at Grace Methodist in Cinco Ranch. We have a wonderful 2 story home in Grand Mission near lakes and a 5 pool resort-style recreation center. Chris is getting ready for college and starting his journey into PreMed studies. Cassie will be starting Kindergarten and she cant wait. Tiffany is going into 8th grade at Katy Jr. High. We have a 6 mo. old beagle named Max who loves to race and slide into 'home' base at the fridge. I am working at Academy corporate office and try to ride my bike to work (10 miles) as often as I can and when I can to reduce pollution and stay in shape. Try to take less meds and eat better instead. Natural foods have better meds in them anyway. I'm still weird and cynical, found out thats due to a high IQ - go figure ! I don't feel smart ! I have to work at it !! These days I can't remember diddly ! But I hope you are doing well and I know I'm not perfect and I have made more than my fair share of mistakes against some of you I'm sure but I still think I would like to say this for you in closing ... May the Lord bless you and watch over you. Just think of Him, believe in Him, pray constantly for your fellow man or woman and those in crisis overseas and remember its really not so bad to live here when you can say you have food in your tummy and can dress your dog like a clown on Holidays. - take care, CYA !
