Connie's Story
Life
I retired in June 2005 after 19 years as a public relations manager for Boeing Wichita. My husband (also retired from Boeing but currently working parttime for Executrain as a teacher/consultant) and I have 4 children ranging in age from 23-35, and five grandchildren with whom we spend a considerable amount of time. We reside in Derby, and, in addition to home projects (of which there are an unlimited number) we both play with our church praise band (Connie on drums, Brad on guitar). he church and also volunteer weekly as a counselor at the Pregnancy Crisis Center. We both enjoy golf, gardening (after a fashion), concerts, plays, and the list goes on. We currently are "houseparents" to a 23-year-old Music Theatre graduate who livens up the place immensly.
I was married to Paul Pickler (SE '68), and we had one daughter (the mother of three of my grandchildren). Paul died in a car accident in 1984.
Life is grand, and I hope to see many of the Class of '68 at the 4oth reunion in '08!
