Life
Retired!!! I retired January of 2006! After over 43 years of working, I decided to call it quits. I've worked in the publications business all of my life. As editor of the Central Jr. High newspaper and the co-editor of the Brownsville High School Screaming Eagle, I naturally went into the publications business. he Hughes Tool Co. magazine, but I was too energetic to stay idle for long. I went to work for the Houston Police Dept. in 1990 and worked in the Office of the Chief of Police as Administration Manager from 1992 until my retirement date on Jan. 31, 2006. Now that I retired, I can enjoy my gardening, my grandkids, reading and fishing. It is the most wonderful feeling to know I am no longer a 9 to 5 slave. Love it!
