Connie's Story
After graduation I attended Iowa State University for 2 years and left to get married to a fellow student from Brooklyn, NY. He graduated during my sophomore year. We moved to Brooklyn (what a culture shock!) and eventually to Westchester county, NY & then to NJ where I still live part time. We had 2 children and divorced in 1980. After several years I remarried - an engineer who had 3 children. He had a house in Long Island, NY, where we now go on weekends. Between us we have 8 grandchildren and...Expand for more
another on the way. My husband, an engineer, has his own consulting business and if the economy ever recovers, we hope to retire in a couple years.
I'm so busy and never seem to have the time either in NJ or Long Island to accomplish all that I want to do. Since all my friends from NJ have moved south, I just have my daughter and her 4 children in NJ but a wonderful group of new friends in Long Island. Love going to dinner, entertaining at home, gardening (flowers), golf and kayaking on the bay.
