Connie's Story
Life
Not real interesting. After not marrying the guy I wanted to (I think you can guess).
I married at age 18 and had four children. Unfortunately, that marriage did not last and was divorced after 20 years. I had gone back to college and gotten my Bachelor's degree (so I could support my four children). I lived in Virginia and worked in D.C. as Controller for a couple of non-profit organizations. I decided in 1985 to pack up my children and move to Southern CA. I have regretted it ever since. I also had sworn I would not remarry after being single for 12 years, but something made me do it. I am still working in the accounting field (self-employed). Not a great idea sometimes! I am determined to move back to MD someday as I still have my family home in Takoma Park. Almost forgot I also have six grandchildren whom I enjoy, but also glad I don't have to go through that again. Now have 12
grandchildren as of July 23, 2011. My husband passed away last Christmas. Moved last year to Central CA to be
near by daughter and her three little girls. I guess you can never go back. Things are never the same.
I always wanted to be a CPA when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
I invoke the 5th Amendment

able to deal with the day-to-day.
My mother is my hero. Although she died when I was 21, in that brief period she brought me up with good moral and faith based life. She always said "never leave the house without a smile on your face". It makes other people happy.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Mom & Dad Bob, my 2nd husband, because I never told my Mom how much I loved her and never got to say "good bye" to any of them..
NASCAR-Tony Stewart-LAKERS and most of all my BLACK LAB - GINO
Unconditional love and respect, no matter all our mistakes. We all learned this from each other.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to my church, then spend the rest on college educations for all twelve grandchildren, trust funds for all 12 grandchildren and balance to children.
My current age is 66. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be close to death. I was so completely in another world.
I do still dress like I did in my 40's. Trying to tame it down. The skin is not so tight as it use to be.
I share my home with my black lab, which I find very strange. Never lived by myself.
No trophies Big victories. My children.
Diana. Met in Jr. High. Loved her smile and bubbly personality.
Standing at the top of the hill waiting for my Dad to turn the corner. He was walking home from work. I was so happy and ran down to meet him every day.
