Connie's Story
Life
I graduated from RJR in 1971. I attended East Carolina University and majored in Child Development and Family Relations. I met my husband while in college and got married the summer following my Jr. year. My husband and I stayed in Greenville. I graduated from E.C.U. in 1974 and began working as Program Director for the American Lung Association. I later became the Regional Director. In 1982 I left that position to be a full time mother when our first son was born. We had another son in 1985. From 1982 to 1995 I was active in school, church and children's activities, as well as various civic organizations as a volunteer. the agency for the last 25years and I love working with adoptive couples and birth parents through the adoption process.
I have been married for 47 years. We have two sons who live in Wilmington and two grandchildren. I am active in my church and serve on the church council. My husband is a contractor in Greenville and we enjoy traveling and spending time with our family. I still go to Winston-Salem fairly often as my parents and brother live there. I have maintained contact with several close friends from high school over the years and enjoyed a fun "girls weekend" in Hilton Head last summer with two of my best friends from Reynolds. I treasure the memories of those 4 years of high school and have attended all the reunions of the class of '71.
