Connie's Story

living life eating lunch with friends I always wanted to be a drifter when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a ok idea. As it turns out, they were right. Playing games on the internet is how I unwind after work. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have freedom, no one breathing down on me, and see different people daily in order to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My hero was my Mother, she had six kids by loosers and still she made things work with out any help, just hard work every day. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Renea Portis, because she was strong and knew what she wanted and she got it. MY GIRL. I have a cat now and we all love him. We had unwanted guest before he came, and now things are much better. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel everything and add on a home that I owned. My dream home would be one that comes with a maintance man!. Children don't come with an instruction book, but if you try your hardest and do the best you can, they end up ok. If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to cancer research, then spend the rest on my children , grandchildren and myself.. My current age is 43. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old people. I was so completely wrong.. I love to drive and I plan on doing it until I retire. I work now driving local bus, One day maybe grayhound. My best friend would tell you I'm wild and crazy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as quiet. I wear what is comfortable to me, some say I have a fashion of my own but in the end who really cares! We all end up bones and dirt right, lol! I share my home with my life partner Ray and two of my daughters...Expand for more
and two of my four grand kids, which I find fun and overwhelming. Ray, he just trys to fit in with all us women, and our dramma's. Betty Is my oldest friend, I met her when I was 16 and I started running around Harvey with her brother (Darelle Childress) and his friends. (I have a 24 Year old daughter with him now, and we don't even speak. She(betty) was so cool and had a apartment back then, I looked up to her, and she always treated me like I was so special. I love her for that still now, and I wish that we never fall out of favor. We won't but it never hurts to wish! My first job was at Van Leer Containers, where I got paid $500.00 a week to make steel drums. What I remember most about it is, I gave away most of my earnings to my friends cause I loved them and they had nothing. We all had nothing at the time, then I got a job. I looked out for my brothers, my sister, and my friends who I will always love deep in my heart. I will never forget the time when My mom (after begging forever) let me were my first back out. I was so happy to be seen in it. Every body wore back out's that summer. Aundrea Billups and her friends chased me in the field (we all played in) and took my back out from me. Leaving me necked from the waist up. I was so imbarrassed cause I had to past the basketball court on my way home and all the neiborhood boys who played ball whould see me holding my hands over my bare, no boobs chest. God give me strength, how did I ever live that one, (among the many) down! I turned out to be a nice, person and I live with morals and standards that I teach my children. Thank God I went back and got my ged, and then some college to go along with that. I am complete in everyway God planed and I hope you enjoyed reading this. Connie P.
