Connie's Story
Well, I don't know about "my story", my life has been pretty uneventful, but very satisfying.
I have 3 beautiful children. Tommy, 24 yrs. old graduated from James Madison University and Anna, 20 yrs old, a junior at James Madison University, my little one, Bobby 6 years old and just went to kindergarten. How wonderful that my nest won't be totally empty for a few more years yet!!!.
My husband, Kevin, works for Reynolds Painting Group in the Virginia, Maryland, and DC area and I have a daycare/preschool in my home (Baby Bear Daycare and Preschool). I am currently working on getting my Child Development Associate Credential and after that will be working on getting my school accredited.
I live so far out in the country, it takes me at least 30 minutes to get to the nearest town. We do not get cell service in my town. I'm 2 miles away from the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains heading up to skyline drive, but we love...Expand for more
it here in the country. We see bear and deer regularly in my parent's back yard just up the road. It is a wonderful place to raise children.
After 18 years in our home church we have started attending and new church. The Rock Worship Center in Front Royal, Virginia. It is a much smaller church but very Spirit filled and we are really enjoying worshiping God in a freer atmosphere. Kevin is making and selling authentic "hippie" tie-dye shirts and giving all the proceeds to the Compassion House Food bank in our church. If anyone wants a cool tie-dye shirt, let me know. The colors are very vivid and don't run.
Our favorite vacation is always the beach, where we try to get away for a week each summer.
We did go on a cross country trip a few years ago, visited Mt. Rushmore, Crazyhorse, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon. It was great and we'd like to do the trip all over again in a few years.
