Connie's Story

Life is like a novel; it does not end after chapter one. There have been many chapters in my life; I've been fortunate to travel some and have several adventures. I spent six years in the navy, repairing electronic communication equipment. This took me to Guam/Saipan, and I was also able to visit Rome. The Navy introduced me to my husband Steven, and we had a total of 17 years together before he passed away. We have two boys, Matthew and Samuel, and they are part of what kept me going shortly after Steven died. They are wonderful boys, but they are growing up too fast. My travels have ...Expand for more
taken me to Florida, Illinois, California, Guam, Saipan, Virginia, Connecticut, Rome (Italy) and Maine, but I've lived in Arkansas since 1993. I have no intention of returning to the Pacific Northwest (except for visits). I am (2008) finally realizing my dream of attending college, and will become a high school teacher. Back at SHS, I used to want to teach high school English, just like Mrs. Linden. As years passed, teaching has always remained a desire, thought age ranges and subject has changed several times. I've determined to teach high school math, advanced math and/or business.
