Last Saturday we hosted the Swiss Club of Southwest Virginia. We were visited by Consul/Head of Consular Affairs Leo Kalbarer Bachtiger (second from left) and his intern Iko Völker (right) who camee down from Washington,

Some of our guests last Saturday.
What to do during the virus lock down? We drove down to Henderson, NC to visit the graves of Bee's parents and her grandmother. She left thyme for remembrance.
We visited the mansion where we had our wedding reception 43 years ago. Formerly thee home of Sam and Anne Peace, it has now fallen on hard times but there are signs of renovation activity underfoot.
We took another day trip to the Smith Mountain Lake Dam. Unfortunately, the visitor center was closed but the dam was visible -- an impressive sight.
This turbine runner (It turns the generator by the force of water passing through it) was taken out of service out of many years and now graces the parking lot of the SML visitor center.
