Corinne's Story
Life
I married Michael Robertson,T.Z. '75, moved to NH in '93 on a job transfer. We also lived at the Jersey Shore, CT and upstate NY previous to that. I am a preschool teacher and center director for underpriveleged children who live at the poverty level, the Head Start program. Even though it is not NY we have a lot of diversity due to the large refugee resettlement program in NH. Working with immigrant families is one of the parts of my job I love most--serving families from all over the world and learning their cultures and a little of their language too. Last year I lived through building a new school which took most of the year. What a challenge; as any of you who've built a house know! I stay in touch with Mary DiMaria who lives 40 minutes away in MA. We are going camping in ME at the end of July but generally see each other and go into Boston every now and again. Happily our husbands like each other too!!
My children, a son and a daughter, both STILL live at home--guess it's a little too good! My daughter just returned to college after trying the work place in retail, restaurant etc. Not so fun after all! My son works full time in a grocery store and will someday soon either go to college or (hopefully not!) go into the military. He has a medical condition that has prevented him from going to war so far but....
