Cornelia's Story
Mainly since my husband of 37 years died in '05 I dance 7 days a week. He was a psychiatirist/psychoanaylist and very political. He read and wrote constantly. I was a political activist and felt I was making a positive contribution to society. I worked for 25 years for the NYC Housing Authority until I retired in '99. My husband began having health problems over the next 5 years and it was very rough.
After his death I began taking Latin as well as other kinds of social dance lessons, including 3 jazz classes a week, which continue. I'm a major jazz (a...Expand for more
uthenic) fan and sometimes go uptown to hear music on Fri. nights. Unfortunately, I'm basically alone and that makes it less fun.
I have 2 cats and am thinkiing that a very small dog would be a good companion here in the citywhere I could carry it with me during the day. I'm trying the various shelters and rescuers but they don't have what I would need. I don't like the idea of going to breeders.
If there are any of my old school mates who like dance and jazz music, oh yes I also like classic soul, and live in or close to Manhattan let me know.
