Cory's Story
It was different seeing all my classmates in the year books. Brought back some good memories and some bad. As we get older we wish that we've done thing different and accomplished the basic things we needed too. Now we're all pushing our 60's and look back and wonder where the time went....as it was once said, "Life is that of a quick glimmer. Wishes and Regrets are no longer of consequence...only tomorrow is, if we survive the day."
I wonder who has survived so far from the Class of 73'. I know I didn't graduate...wish I had, though, from High School instead of doing it by GED. 2 yrs of college would have been a little easer I think...LOL.
I was able to accomplish some things like write a Novel (At What Cost? "The Dawning") a...Expand for more
nd now working on the second. That was a learning experience to say the least, but it makes the 2nd book easier...perhaps Mrs. Roberts or Mrs. Nelson would be amazed...LOL. And yes...I never did like to read much...but I love reading now.
I have accomplished 28 yrs of military service, 6 yrs US Navy and 22 yrs US Army(ANG). About to retire from Texas Dept of Transportation after 15 yrs. I have to say...it's been an interesting life so far. 5 Kids, 14 grand kids with one on the way.
I wish all my classmates the best in their lives...no regrets, just live and enjoy the days as they come! After all, "All you see and all you touch, is all your life will ever be." Take care and may God Bless you in all that you do.
