Craig's Story

I grew up in So.California, spent most of my young life at Torrance and Redondo Beach. After school, I went into the Marine Corps, where I got My GED. After boot camp MCRD, San Diego,I went to Kaneohe Marine Base On Oahu and Chu Lai, Viet Nam, 7 May 1965 after Nam I was stationed in North Carolina at Camp Lejeune, where I did two Med Cruises one with 2/6 and then 1/6 a total of a year. After that I went to Gitmo for a few months with 2/8, then back to N.C. with Headquarters 6th Marines until I got out in 68. The dates are little off, but I sent for My records, to take care of that. I then returned to So. California Beaches, where I went to L.A. Harbor Jr. College for two years. I ended up in Health Care working in a Kaiser Hospital lab, for ten years. I got married the first time, while I was working there and had two great daughters, ...Expand for more
Melissa (Missy)and Amanda (Mandy). In 1986, we moved to South Lake Tahoe, for two years, that is where Mandy was born. Moved back to the Beach, at the end of 1988. I then moved to Cameron Park, just outside of Sacramento. I got divorced and went to work for the Med Clinic, in Sacramento, where I met my second wife Heide, who is the love of my life. We have been married nearly ten years this year June 2009. I came down with cancer, which changed my life. I am lucky to be alive, am in remission, but the treatment took its toll and has left me with complications. I am medically retired.. I'm divorced and living single, happily. In 2014 cancer was back, they put me on hormones I gained a bunch of weight. I stopped taking all my meds including opioids. Lost weight and feel a lot better.You can click on my individual timelines for more info.
