Dear Classmates, I am long overdue in putting this message out to you. I have been living up here in Washington state for over 15 years now, before then I lived in beautiful Sonoma Valley, Ca. for 21 years. My job at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo was closed due to base closure and I was offered a job at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Wa. So in 1994 we packed up and moved north. Being away from San Diego makes it a little difficult to make it to reunions. I will be honest which keeps me out of trouble, I have been out of touch. There have been other commitments and my job did occasionally send me to San Diego to work on various ships. Being south does give me the opportunity to see my Mom who still lives in the same place, as well as a sister that still live down there. I also get to see the ocean when I'm down south and still love to watch the waves crashing towards shore. It does take a lot of strength to paddle out through the breaking waves and I'm out of practice. Now I'm into kayaking. The water is Cold up here and it's warmer staying in the kayak ! I have fallen out. Yes, I do have a wife, Ramona. We have two grown sons, ages 29 and 24 .
