Craig's Story
Where do I start---after graduating(which almost didn't happen if I hadn't pulled out an A on Monahan's english final),I continued my downhill slide into drugs & alcohol,partying,&
taking trips(frequent flier miles on mescaline airlines). After almost dying in a car accident in 68, I started living like there was no guarantee for tomorrow so why not live for today. The night I came back from Woodstock my son Brian was conceived and his mother and I married in Nov.
He was born May 10, mothers day, just hours before Bobby Orr scored that famous goal that won the Stanley cup.
My awesome daughter Jodi arrived 16 months later. Unfortunatly the stoughton-canton rivalry continued throughout our marriage, divorce after 7 yrs. Fresh out of a fryin' pan, I jumped right into the fire & married a hometown girl for all the wrong reasons--model,$$,family,$$,class,$$,connections(mafia)$$$$$$. Doomed from the start, the marriage lasted 4 yrs & although I didn't get the $$$$$$$$ I was blessed with a beautiful daughterChristine, who became one of Stoughton's best cheerleading captains ever. Having failed miserably at marriage, I devoted myself to being single & married to my carpentry business which was the only thing thriving in all this. I partied heartily for the next 8 yrs until my son Ryan was born and a month later I asked God to deliver me from my addiction. By His grace and mercy, 8/3/11 will mark 23 yrs sober for me. Still something was missing in my life and i thought by having more children it would make it more complete. It helped to have Courtney and Lucas, but it wasn't until I gave my life to the Lord Jesus that I got completely fullfilled. Shortly after that relationship began, the relationship with my childrens mother ended and the Lord directed me to wor...Expand for more
k with teens in an outreach program called "Youth Jam". I was blessed immensely by watching God help these kids to turn their life around and seeing my children open their hearts to Him as well. After 8 yrs of serving Him, it seemed as though the Lord was saying that I should be married again. Even though I said " No way Lord!!!!!", He knows what's best for us always. So He put the perfect wife (for me) right in my church, after bringing her back to this area from northernmost Maine, and put feelings in her heart (for me) she could hardly believe because she didn't want to ever get married again either, lol. God is always right on and Nov. 4 we will have been married 5 years praise the Lord. We work together in ministry now and between us have 12 children and 6 grandchildren.
6/25/19 Update- life has been very good all in all. A few crisis situations but God is always there with us to ease the pains of the journey. Recently went to the hospital because I couldn't sleep all night and they told me I had a heart attack. Didn't even know it!! After tests they brought me into Beth Israel in Boston and performed a triple bi-pass. Praise God everything went great and I am home now recuperating. 12/19/21 trusting in the Lord to survive these times we're facing , it's sad to see this great country go down to lies and deceit. Wasn't it Shakespeare that said for society to stand a chance we'd have to get rid of all the lawyers??? I didn't understand that back then , but I've seen over the years that crooked lawyers become crooked politicians and judges. I wish everyone had Godly wisdom but you have to know Him first. He's waiting patiently with open arms for all of us to experience His Love for all eternity. Come to Jesus and accept His forgiveness.
