Craig's Story

Life After graduating Elk Grove HS, I have had a very interesting life. Here's my bio: '69-'73 - Graduated from Northern Illinois University in June of 73. I rec'd a BA/BS in Forensic Anthropology from NIU. In 1972 I also student taught at EGHS, Forest View HS and Arlington HS. I taught Anthropology, Sociology, and Zoology. '73-'76 - Held various jobs, including sub teaching for Dist 214 from late 1973-early 1976. I also played string bass for WCFL channel 32, including the Howard Miller Show. '76 - In 1976 I went to work for Ralston-Purina as their Pet Food Sales Rep. I worked there for over one year. '77-'80 - Moved back to Tucson AZ. to run family business since parents were getting up there in age, and were unable to spend as much time at the job as was needed. 1980 - Moved back to the Midwest where I married Barb Bruns from Waukegan IL. We moved to Country Club Hills IL after getting married and purchased our first home. I went to work for American Greetings as their Card and Gift Shop Sales Account Exec. thru 1985. 1985-'86 - Worked for Johnson and Johnson as their Pharmaceutical Sales Rep. covering the South Side of Chgo (in the ghetto). 1987 - Moved back to Tucson AZ. where we purcha...Expand for more
sed our second home. At that time I went to work for Schering Labs as a Outside Sales Rep. 1988 - My son (Kevin) was born in April of that year. 1991 - 2000 - Went to work for Purdue Pharma as their Sales Rep covering Tucson AZ. I was their consistent President Sales Award Employee during my tenure with them. 2000 to present - Moved to Westminster, CO due to a promotion with Purdue. I became their Hospital Sales Rep. covering CO, WY, and MT. However, in 2006 I was laid off along with 87% of the company due to the OxyContin fiasco that took place due to a lot of bad press. Since leaving Purdue Pharma, I've had various sales jobs in an attempt to find the right fit. Currently I'm with RCAI as their Medical Device Salesman. My family and I moved from Westminster CO to Brighton CO near Boulder in 2004 where we now have a lovely home on an acre backing up to a pond and the Rocky Mtns. My son Kevin is currently in his 2nd year at the Univ. of CO. Well, this has been my life so far. What a ride! I sure miss the easy days of being in the Lights of Darkness and partying with friends from H.S. and College. Those were the best days of my life. Hey, are we going to have a 40 year reunion this year?????
