[An attempt to explain my seemingly unusual name:]
I adopted the name Phinnegan when I was 15 on tour with the Dead after Jerry called me a f'g Finnegan for being a pain in the neck during a sound check & I'm guessing just to be original & since my last name was a Ph- word (& allways for so many other reasons), I came up with Phinnegan - but it was right around the same time that I first met Phish (at either Nectar's or the Flynn Theater or one of those Burlington bars), so I can never be sure that they didn't have an effect on that choice....".
