Married to Libby Schmidt (class of '€™69) until 2000. I have a Son, Walter Scott Smith Have lived on a small farm in Lapeer for more then 30 years. Just trying to make it to 62 so I can get SS. Many will remember me as working in my Mom’s store, The Inspiration Shop on Woodward in Birmingham. After school I worked at The Camera Mart in Pontiac until ’85. I left there to work at World Credit in Pontiac until 2000. We opened a little Paint Ball store in Lapeer. This was my son’s business but I worked with him until 2007. I currently can’t find a job and will be homeless in the not to distant future. My senior year I dated Libby Schmidt (class of ’69). She was in Mr. Kish’s home room (my favorite math teacher). I was off to NMU and we broke up. We got back together a couple of years later and were married. We bought a home in Royal Oak, but I always wanted some land. We finally found a 40 ac farm with a very old small house North of Lapeer. We gutted the hose and pt in all new electric, plumbing, walls, callings, flooring, and heat. Libby had a number of miscarriages and finally on Easter Sunday in 1981 (April 19) or Son (Walter) was born. We had a Daughter 2 years later but she only lived 10 days.
