After high school, instead of a traditional four year college, I hit the road with a rock band for five years touring and recording. I think I got a better education, in some regards, than I would have otherwise. After that I settled into a more conventional life. I took some college level music classes, got married (still to Linda -- 35 years), bought our first house, and continued playing and writing music while doing recording session work. After five years Linda and I had our daughter, Bailey Jane. Five years later we bought our second house and had our son Joseph Cole. In 1993 I was forced into semi-retirement due to my progressive, chronic condition so I designed, and had built, the house near Parkville, Missouri that we are living in to this day. Our daughter is living in the Virgin Islands,where she had our first grandchild,Piper Jaimes Honaker. Our son is living in Georgia, married and works as an Air Force instructor. ...Expand for more
