Craig's Story

Life Well, I moved to CA in '92 and finished high school in Southern CA. I decided that I should become an engineer (go figure) and graduated after 5 long years with an Aerospace Engineering degree. I worked for Boeing North American in Downey, CA as an intern during college, performing simulation analysis for the Space Shuttle. After graduation I moved to the country of Texas and worked for Lockheed Martin doing, you guessed it, simulation work for the Space Shuttle. After a year, I got tired of writing code and took a job up in beautiful (yeah right) Wichita, KS. I have been working for Cessna Aircraft for a little over two years now as a design engineer and now as a production support engineer for a line of business jets. During my time here, I have been able to obtain my private pilot's license and obtained my MBA degree in July 01. I stayed at Cessna until 2002 and then moved back to Texas to work for Lockheed again. I then moved up to the F22 Program Procurement Quality Integrator, where I managed (8) people and worked with suppliers everyday. I recently was promoted to the F35 Program Procurement Quality Integrator, performing many of the same tasks as on the F22. I have been on the road about every other week this year. Busy but fun. Over the years in my jobs at Lockheed, I have had the privelege to travel to Isreal twice (toured Jerusalem, f...Expand for more
loated in the Dead Sea, walked in the Sea of Galillee), Germany once, London twice, Canada twice and hit about 15 states in the US. In my current role I hope to travel to Milan, Italy and possibly Denmark and/or the Netherlands. I started teaching right after I received my MBA and currently teach at two different campuses, with one class online and the other face-to-face. I teach for a community college in KS and at Embry Riddle University at their satellite college at the Navy base across from work. If (3) jobs were not enough, I woodwork on the side and have created several "inspirations" in the past few years. I still love the outdoors and purchased a runabout boat about 3 years ago now. Been fixing it up ever since. The saying that a boat is just a hole in the water that you just throw money at is entirely true. Unfortunately, I blew out two discs in my lower back a couple years back and have been uable to go waterskiing since. Not a happy camper. Oh well. I hope to hear from others I know out there, so give me a jingle and let me know you are still out there, plugging along. Take care!! I always wanted to be a pilot when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. I like to woodwork to relax as well as walk my greyhounds. I used to relax by flying, but alas, the costs were too prohibitive.
