Craig's Story
Life
Right after college I moved to Long Island. Starting teaching music in an elementary school. Surprisingly, I fell into classroom music and chorus. After a few years of teaching, I left the profession for health reasons and starting working in the staffing industry. I missed the kids too much and decided to go back into teaching when my health returned. I've been teaching out on the east end of Long Island for the past few years.
Otherwise, I'm not one to sit home much. Since college, I've also waited tables, bartended, and been performing. Slowly of the past few years, I have been singing more than playing my bassoon. I'm in a great...Expand for more
choir! We are getting ready to record our second CD, and a tour to Italy.
After my cancer scare a few years ago, I have been focused on taking care of myself. I have run a half marathon, and am training for a triathalon. Also I have taken up bowling. I also voluteer at a hospice a few hours a month.
As for my relationships, I'm still working on that one. Sometimes I think I am too busy to even start looking. Maybe my love affair is with my students.
For the future, I'm looking at going back to school and get my doctorate in Music Education in the next few years. Who knows though? I might wind the lottery, and travel the world.
