Life I am married 26 years to my first and only wife Heather, have one son Nathan 18, who loves music and is majoring in Commercial Music, Voice with minor in Music Business at Belmont university in Nashville. He is a very talented Blues guitarist and singer. I have 2 adorable Whippets (Keera & Chloe), enjoy running, biking, weight-training, boating, wakeboarding (all things water), good food, good wine, and the company of good friends. Workplace I am a licensed psychologist of 7 yrs (also licensed counselor) and recently authored the book Daily Dose of PositivityTM: Mental Supplements for Better Health (2006, iUniverse) that addresses stress, health, and positive psychology. In addition, I am the Director of Behavioral Sciences for OhioHealth, Grant Medical Education in Columbus, Ohio. I train family physicians in understanding behavioral and psychological issues in medicine and health. I am also a clinical faculty in the Family Medicine Department in the College of Medicine at The Ohio State University and train medical students in psychosocial issues and doctor-patient relationship skills. ectors of the Ohio Psychological Association where I serve on the Continuing Education Committee, Public Education Committee, Public Interest Committee, and Chair the Professional Practice Committee. I have developed and given numerous corporate and public presentations in health psychology as well as professional conferences. I have the honor of being interviewed frequently and sharing the positive impact of psychology in people’s lives. I have been interviewed by the Columbus Dispatch, The Other Paper, Northern Ohio Live Magazine, Dayspa Magazine, First for Women Magazine, 610AM WTVN, WBNS 10TV News, and WCMH Channel 4 News, and had a regular radio feature called “30 Second Psychology with Dr. Craig” that has aired on both 97.1 and 107.9 FM in Columbus, OH. I am a Continuing Education course developer and instructor for Cross Country Education. Obviously I am very involved in education. I have nearly 20 years of clinical counseling experience in private practice, psychiatric inpatient, community agency, and medical environments when you count back to my first job in 1987 as a psychiatric technician at Harding Hospital in Columbus, OH. The psych techs affectionately referred to each other as the “burrito guys” because we were the ones who were called when “non-violent physical crisis intervention” was called for. We’d wrap up out of control patients in special care blankets that looked like giant tortillas!
